Vertu goes to Hong Kong Fund Godin Holdings

Vertu brand began its history in 1998 as a division of Nokia, which has been developing mobile premium. In 2012, he moved into the possession of the Swedish investment company EQT VI, and today it became known that the company was sold to Hong Kong Vertu fund Godin Holdings. Currently, the network does not have details of the deal, but it is known that in 2012, the new owner paid for the company of about 200 million euros. At the same time Nokia has reserved about 10% of the shares Vertu.
According to the latest data, together with the change of the owner and the director will be replaced. Massimiliano Polyani, who took office after the transition Vertu phone to a Swedish investment company now sends the case to his successor. At the same time the new owners do not plan to reduce the existing staff and move the company headquarters to a new location - it is, as before, will be located in the UK.
