Samsung remains the leader in sales of smartphones in India

Today, the mobile division of Samsung encountered some problems, but the position of the Korean company is still strong, especially in emerging markets. As employees of the analytical company Counterpoint Research, for the third quarter of this year, Samsung still remains the leader in the smartphone market in India. The share of Korean companies account for 23.2% of all units sold. However, it is worth noting that compared to the previous quarter, this figure fell to 1.3%.
Counterpoint Research data suggests that Samsung's position helped keep the model of mid-range, whereas in the segment of low-cost smartphones the company has handed over some positions under the pressure of low-cost brands.
The peculiarity of the Indian market is that, unlike the global, he continues to develop. To date, only a third of all phones in India accounted for smartphones. That is why many manufacturers now will compete for this market.
